Lazy Moon Ranch is more than just a farm; it's a testament to the power of healing

About us

Ron Boyles

Founder & CEO

Our story begins with Ron Boyles, a key advocate for medical cannabis in Pennsylvania. Ron, who purchased the land in the early 90s, had a lifelong interest in cannabis. However, it wasn't until he faced a serious health crisis that he truly discovered its profound value. Following a debilitating back injury, years of opioid dependence took a severe toll on his health. Facing a grim prognosis, Ron turned to medical cannabis as a last resort.

Miraculously, cannabis helped him break free from the grip of opioids, allowing him to reclaim his health and rediscover his joy for life. He shed over 100 pounds and regained his vitality, proving that healing is possible.

Driven by his personal experience, Ron became a vocal advocate for medical cannabis access in Pennsylvania. He now runs the Green Bridge Society, a company that connects patients to certifying doctors in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky.

With the passing of the 2016 Hemp Farm Bill, Ron was eager to embrace the opportunity to cultivate his own CBD hemp at Lazy Moon Ranch. He has since successfully grown and harvested high-quality CBD flower on the farm. Ron has personally found CBD to be incredibly helpful and enjoys sharing his knowledge and the benefits of CBD with friends, family, and visitors to the farm.

Shayne Boyles

Ron's son, Shayne, shares his father's passion for cannabis. Lazy Moon Ranch is his home, and he loves sharing it with others.

In 2019, Shayne met his now wife Alys while working together for the Green Bridge Society. That year, they joined forces to harvest their first hemp crop at Lazy Moon Ranch. Over the next few years, Shayne and Alys moved across Pennsylvania working in medical cannabis, only to return to Lazy Moon Ranch in 2024.
